Michelle Sherman Ph.D., LP, ABPP

Michelle Sherman PhD LP ABPP is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association, and is Board Certified in Couple and Family Psychology. She is also the Editor in Chief of the APA Division 43 (Society of Couple and Family Psychology) journal, Couple and Family Psychology: Research and Practice. She currently serves on the Board of the Academy of Couple and Family Psychology.

After having served as professor in the medical schools of the University of Oklahoma and then the University of Minnesota, she joined a group practice in Minnesota where she provides psychotherapy and supervision for multiple trainees. She has published over 75 articles in peer-reviewed journals, has received over $3.2 million in grant funding, and has given several hundred workshops nationally and internationally. In her personal life, she also writes books for teens whose parent has a mental illness or trauma/PTSD
