Florence Kaslow, Ph. D., ABPP

Florence W. Kaslow, PhD, ABPP is President, Kaslow Associates, a therapy, coaching, and consulting firm in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. She was a Distinguished Visiting Professor, Graduate School of Psychology, Florida Institute of Technology for 20 years. She is a triple board-certified psychologist by ABPP in couple and family, clinical, and forensic psychology.  She is the author of 32 books, 65 book chapters and over 200 articles.   She was the Founding President of the International Family Therapy Association, as well as Past President of the International Academy of Family Psychology. She is also Past President of two divisions of the American Psychological Association – the Society for Couple and Family Psychology (43) and the Society for Media Psychology and Technology (46).

Dr. Kaslow has been honored throughout her career with numerous awards including the  APA’s Distinguished Contribution to Applied Psychology Award, the American Psychological Foundation Gold Medal Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Practice of Psychology, and the Distinguished Service  and Outstanding Contribution  Award by ABPP.  She has had 32 professional books published and has guest lectured in over 50 countries. She served as Editor in Chief of the Journal of Marriage and Family Counseling (now the Journal of Marital and Family Therapy) and serves on the editorial boards of numerous US journals and those of other countries. A regular contributor to the media, her Voice of American programs were nominated as an outstanding series.
